Our approach to tour design focuses on two types of riders - 'Avid' and 'Active'. From conception to launch we are actively picturing the type of rider that will love every aspect of our tours.
The ‘Avid’ cyclist is comfortable riding five or six hours over a distance of 95 to 130 km (60 to 80 miles). On a long day they can manage 180 km (110 miles). Pace is of lesser importance as we do not impose any minimal restrictions. Whether you ride at 20 kph (12 mph) or 30 kph (18 mph) you will be welcomed and catered for!
Avid cyclists can manage routes with 1,800 metres (6,000 feet) of climbing, and on tough days up to 3,000 metres (10,000 feet). Avid riders don't shy away from mountain passes and more technical descents.
The ‘Active’ cyclist is comfortable riding for at least three to four hours at a reasonably strong pace over a distance of 65 to 80 km (40 to 50 miles). On a long day they can manage 95 to 110 km (60 to 70 miles). Pace is of lesser importance as we do not impose any minimal restrictions. Whether you ride at 20 kph (12 mph) or 30 kph (18 mph) you will be welcomed and catered for!
Active cyclists can manage routes with 900 metres (3,000 feet) of climbing and on tough days up to 2,000 metres (6,500 feet). Active riders like variation in terrain and aren't phased by moderate mountain passes and descents.
